“I’m going to the mountains to see what I can see and maybe find a place to breathe. But you’re all around me and then you’re gone. Don’t leave me a lot to give. The time we wasted or we lived.”

Last song I shot with Tom was on the day Lou Reed died, so he played me a Lou Reed tune (https://youtu.be/JS_K35jieGA). I didn’t get the Lee Harvey Osmond song that I wanted, so I asked Tom for another song next time he’s in town.

We met onstage at the Rio the night before my birthday. I was excited to see that Tom’s son Thompson was going to be performing with him. Recently Harlan Pepper broke up suddenly, so Thompson joined his dad on a 6 month tour.

Father/Son harmonies from these two powerful voices was something to behold and it was great to be back on the stage of one of my favourite venues – The Rio Theatre.

Didn’t record any of the concert. I just wanted to have a few drinks and enjoy the show (as a birthday present to myself)!
