Alan co-wrote this song with Russel Crowe while visiting him in Australia to collaborate on some songs for an upcoming movie. They were drinking and writing all these heavy songs when they decided to write a song about A Shotgun Wedding for fun!
Alan performed at the Rio as a part of his tour to promote his first solo album “Boy on Bridge”. Great Big Sea will be celebrating 20yrs of making music together next year, so last night was a collection of new songs, old songs and songs people requested on Twitter.
