Video #289 of 1000 – Strands of Oak – Daniel’s Blues. Recorded live at the Biltmore Cabaret on Oct. 29, 2012 in HD (1080p on XA10 in 24fps Cinema Standard).
“Daniel’s Blues,” is a song about John Belushi’s drug dealer sung from Dan Akroyd’s point of view, “oh, who should I call? Chevy’s an ass and Gilda’s got a cold”. “Timothy Showalter can craft heartfelt emotions into something we can laugh at if we so choose, rather than turning them into something awful we have to wallow in, the way some other songwriters tend to do”… this video is processed with a Thermal Colour Enhancement (featured in Youtube).
