In a moment of inspiration, Chase improvised a song for me based on a randomly selected set of parameters chosen by my friend Rodger. It wasn’t at all ‘what I expected’, which reminded me of how important it is to me to enter musical situations without expectations… because they interfere with my ability to fully enjoy the experience as it happens. So, thank you for reminding me to leave my expectations at the door and enjoy the moment.
