Turns out Connie toured for 30 years with the likes of Cher and Michael Bolton and was well known for her Christian music. She performed a song that once again ‘rang my bell’ as she sang “You don’t know which way the wind blows, so how can you plan tomorrow?” during a time that I’ve felt particularly vulnerable about not knowing what comes next on this journey (that began with these 1000 days)! She was kind enough to just ‘give me’ this song, on a whim, with no ‘warm up’… and it totally ‘hit home’. What a beautiful song to post on my final Sunday of EveryDayMusic!
Connie does a great job on this song. She sings the various parts much like the original, sounding a lot like Annie Herring and she manipulates her voice like Matthew Ward.
