No special ‘Friday the 13th’ video today. I just wanted to post a song that could follow up a powerful world-class singer/songwriter like Kenny…

I usually stop filming once I record a song that I think ‘is it’ (the one that I want to post). The second song Justin performed really struck a cord with me, so after that I put my camera away so that I could enjoy the rest of the concert with my own eyes. Where we were sitting was quickly over-run by people who walked down the aisle to stand in front, so I stepped outside for a bit of fresh air and then came in on the other side of the theatre. I shot a couple songs from a different angle and then walked up to the front of the stage. As soon as I got there a girl said “I bet you it’s gonna be “Mama’s Eyes”! I’m gonna cry if he plays that.” and sure enough, after he finished with his misbehaving tuner, he played the first few chords and she nearly broke down. This is the kind of song that I’m trying to find for EveryDayMusic and is an absolutely perfect song for Justin. I got shivers listening to the lyrics and a ‘bell’ went off in my head immediately that said ‘this is the one!’. After the show, I went to the merch table to buy a CD and asked for the song name. I was then directed to the CD that had “Mama’s Eyes” on it… it was called “Midnight at the Movies”. With the Rio being my favorite “Midnight Movie” spot, I could hardly believe the synchronicity, but that just keeps happening along this path…
