John Reilly and Friends played to a small crowd that night (perhaps due to the fact that it didn’t say ‘John C Reilly’ on the poster/promo for the event). Friends Becky Stark and Tom Brousseau accompanied John on some heartfelt Bluegrass and Old Country tales. Becky made an especially poignant remark amongst her humorous ramblings (she was wonderfully candid and funny)… that musicians take songs into their bodies/spirits and carry them around for life to keep them alive and share them with others. But it’s Sunday, so I wanted to share a ‘spiritual’ song with you…
